Surface RT uses an ARM chipset and not an Intel one, meaning that even if you "jailbreak" it you simply cannot run certain applications on it. As a result you are forced to use MS App Store granted that this is not entirely their fault, but apps for things like Twitter, Facebook, and even Dropbox which I wanted to sync my notes with (as I had in the past, no problems) are god awful.
